Do I need to create an account?
No. You log in with your TikTok account through TikTok's official authorization page. ShortsPost never sees your TikTok password.
How much does it cost?
ShortsPost is free to use.
Which TikTok permissions does ShortsPost use?
Three: your basic profile (name and avatar, so you can see which account you are posting to), permission to publish the videos you choose to your profile, and permission to send a video to your TikTok inbox as a draft. ShortsPost cannot read your messages, followers, drafts or other videos.
Can I connect more than one TikTok account?
One account per browser session. To switch, press Log out, then log in again and choose another account on TikTok's page.
Videos and posting
Which files can I upload?
MP4 or MOV videos up to 500 MB. The video must not be longer than the maximum length TikTok allows for your account; ShortsPost shows this limit when you choose a file.
Why can't I choose "Only me" for branded content?
TikTok does not allow branded content to be private, so this option is disabled when "Branded content" is selected.
Why are Duet or Stitch greyed out?
They are turned off in your TikTok privacy settings, or your account can't use them. Change them in the TikTok app if you want to allow them.
My post says "TikTok is processing". How long does it take?
Usually a few seconds to a few minutes. Once it says Posted, the video can take a few more minutes to appear on your profile.
What does "Failed" mean?
TikTok refused the post. The reason is shown under the post, for example a daily posting limit or a temporary restriction on your account. Fix the cause and try again.
Scheduling
How far ahead can I schedule?
Up to 30 days, with up to 20 scheduled posts per account.
Does my computer need to stay on?
No. Scheduled videos are stored on our server and published at the time you picked.
How do I cancel a scheduled post?
Press Cancel next to it in Your posts. The video file is deleted immediately.
Drafts
Where does a draft go?
To your TikTok inbox. Open the TikTok app, tap the notification and finish editing; the video is not published until you post it yourself.
Privacy and your data
What happens to my video files?
A file is kept only until it is published, sent as a draft or cancelled, then deleted. Post history (caption, status, time) is kept for 14 days.
How do I delete my data?
Press Disconnect on your dashboard. This revokes ShortsPost's access with TikTok and deletes your tokens, sessions, scheduled posts, files and history. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
