Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ShortsPost (the "Service") does with your data when you log in with TikTok and post or schedule videos.

What we access

With your authorization through TikTok Login Kit, the Service uses three permissions: user.info.basic (your TikTok open ID, display name and avatar), video.publish (publishing videos you choose to your profile) and video.upload (sending a video you choose to your TikTok inbox as a draft, which you then finish and post in the TikTok app). Through the Content Posting API we also read your current posting options (allowed privacy levels, whether comments, Duet and Stitch are available, maximum video length) so the posting page can show them. We do not access your messages, followers, likes, drafts or other videos.

What we store and why

  • Access and refresh tokens issued by TikTok, linked to your open ID, so that your scheduled posts can be published when you are not online.
  • A session cookie that keeps you logged in on this browser for up to 30 days. It contains only a random identifier.
  • Your videos and post settings (caption, privacy level, interaction settings, disclosure, scheduled time) until the video is published, cancelled or fails. The video file is deleted right after that.
  • Post history (caption, status, time) for 14 days so you can see what was published.

Data is stored on our server and transmitted over HTTPS. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data or share it with third parties. Videos and post settings are sent only to TikTok, to publish them as you requested.

Retention and deletion

Pressing Disconnect on your dashboard revokes the Service's access with TikTok and immediately deletes your tokens, sessions, scheduled posts, stored videos and history. "Log out" only ends the session in that browser. If you have not used the Service for 90 days and have nothing scheduled, your tokens and history are deleted automatically. You can also revoke access in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security and permissions, Apps and services, or email us to ask for deletion.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone who is not allowed to use TikTok under TikTok's own terms.
